DCFlex Impact

Flex MOSAIC™ and Headroom Framework

DCFlex has developed complementary frameworks to help unlock grid capacity for large loads. Flex MOSAIC™ establishes a common approach for evaluating flexibility, while the Headroom Framework helps planners assess how flexibility can support data center integration while maintaining reliability. Real-world demonstrations bring these frameworks to life through practical application.

Community Engagement

DCFlex is advancing research to help utilities and data center developers strengthen community engagement and acceptance as data center development grows. The work explores approaches for engaging communities early, addressing local concerns, and delivering transparent, locally aligned benefits that can support more responsible and successful data center development.

Grid Reliability

As data center electricity demand grows, DCFlex is examining how oscillating loads can interact with the power system and how potential impacts can be proactively managed. This work brings together approaches for assessing risk, mitigating load fluctuations, and monitoring performance to help enable reliable integration of large-scale data centers.
